My order showed up in one piece, so no real complaints there. The box was a little crushed when it arrived (which made me a bit nervous at first), but everything inside was fine. Packaging was solid overall, though they definitely went heavy on the tape (took me a minute to get it open)

I was going in circles trying to figure out the correct part number, so I ended up messaging customer service. i was relieved when they got back to me within about an hour and pointed me to the exact item I needed.
I’m giving 4 stars because the first reply felt a little brief, but it still got the job done and saved me from ordering the wrong thing. Overall, it was a good experience

So, the parts showed up quickly and everything was, like, exactly what I ordered, which was great. I was happy with that part for sure. The only thing is, the shipping cost felt kind of high for such a small order. Not a huge deal, but yeah, it definitely stood out

I ordered bolts and ended up receiving washers, which obviously doesn’t help much. To be fair, mistakes can happen, but this is not the first time I’ve had the wrong parts show up, so it’s getting frustrating

I ordered a part from McMaster-Carr because the dimensions on the product page seemed to match what I needed. Once it arrived, though, it didn’t line up with the listed specs and ended up throwing off my install. Customer service was polite enough, but that didn’t really make up for the time I lost dealing with it. I get that mistakes happen, but if the product info isn’t accurate, it’s hard to rely on the listing. Going forward, I’ll be protecting myself by verifying specs somewhere else before ordering from them again...
"Refund took way longer than expected"
The parts themselves were fine, but the return process was a lot more frustrating than I expected. The refund took quite a while to come through, and whenever I reached out to support, the replies were short and didn’t really feel helpful. i kind of felt like just another ticket number instead of an actual customer. It all worked out in the end, but the returns process definitely needs improvement

I ordered a few parts and, from what I remember, they were at my door the very next day. The whole thing was hassle-free, and I was happy with how fast it went. My only small gripe is that the tracking didn’t update as clearly as I expected, but overall it was a good experience.

"Hard to find what I need sometimes"
I get that McMaster has a huge catalog, but the website can be frustrating to use. The search results aren’t always obvious, and I end up clicking around way longer than I should just to find a basic part.
The product pages themselves load fine, but comparing similar items is kind of a hassle. It technically works, but it’s not very user-friendly unless you already know exactly what you’re looking for. For the time wasted sorting through it all, I’d expect some kind of credit or compensation.

so I ordered a few fittings and the quality wasn’t great. The threads felt rough, and one of the pieces even looked like it had been used before. I’ve had better experiences with them in the past, so this was disappointing

"Good site, but the prices can be confusing"
I’ve used McMaster a handful of times and the stuff usually gets here quick, so I can’t really complain about that part. The site is easy enough to use too, and they’ve got almost everything I need.
My main issue is the pricing don’t always feel clear when you’re ordering. Shipping and the final total can be kinda vague until after, which makes it hard to know what I’m actually spending or compare it with other places. I’m fine paying a little extra for fast and easy, I just wish the full cost was shown upfront.
